Students' Home 1881-82

The first Drake building, erected in 1881, was located at the corner of 25th & Carpenter. At the time, it housed the entire University, including housing for students, as well as classrooms. In 1894 it was razed, and the lumber was used to construct an apartment house on 26th Street.
